Issues with Photo Restoration filter

Using the lastest update 24.3.0, but also have the latest Beta with the same issue. I know the photo restoration filter is still in beta, but I see some posts saying it works for some people. Up until recently I could make it work by unclicking the "Face" portion, or now, moving the slider to '0'. Now even that doesn't work. It will process up to about 20% and the give me the 'temporarily disabled' notification. Not only that, once I've tried it, my whole system glitches. As you can see in the screen cap, when I close out the Neural filters, I lose my workspace (what you see is my home page which I can see 'through' the PS workspace - sorry, I don't know how to explain that better). I haven't changed anything else in my system. Is my GPU suddenly not good enough anymore? Help?

Hi @gonzosgirrl your GPU meets current requirements but barely.

Your GT 1030 clocks in at 1,200 ops/sec and the recommened minimum is 2,000 ops/sec.

Not sure if that would be affecting your Neural Filter, but also it is a beta and there is no expectation of availability while testing.

You can try these two options to see if they help:

Go to Photoshop Preferences/Technology Preview and check “Disable Native Canvas”. Then check “Use Older GPU Mode (2016)”.

Thanks for taking the time, I appreciate it. I will check those things out. It's frustrating, because it was working in the Beta on this same system, then stopped after updates. I can't upgrade my machine every time Adobe 'fixes' something, so I guess I'll just have to live without this filter for now. Too bad, because when it works it is amazing.

You can always downgrade to the previous builds using the Creative Cloud desktop application. Not sure about the betas, but you can with the public builds. Click the ellipses next to the application and choose older versions.
