Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry for the trouble with Photoshop. We're here to help.

Could you please share the version of Photoshop you are working on from Help > About Photoshop?

Does this happen with a specific series of JPEG or PNG images? Stored in a particular location or drive? Where are the documents stored, internal drive or an external drive?

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps?

Please ensure Photoshop has the required disk access & permissions: https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem-discussions/quick-tips-learn-how-to-give-full-dis...

Let us know how it goes from here,

Thanks!
Sameer K

Hello SameerK,

Thank you for your feedback signal.
My PS version is 23.4.1

Our documents are stored in a Dropbox and were used daily as templates.
Unfortunately, we keep having the problem that PSD files cannot be opened.
These are not all files. Sometimes they open, sometimes not?!

Here are my troubleshooting steps:
- PS update
- Uninstall iCloud - or repair
-PS uninstalled
- Restart the system Mac Osx Monterey 12.4
- PS installed

Hard disk access is granted, PS opens other JPG`s, PNG`s and PSD`s from the Dropbox.

Just saw that there is a new PS update now: 23.4.2
I will update directly and report whether the error could be fixed.

Thanks and Greetings,
StephanBildschirmfoto 2022-07-20 um 13.19.33.png

Dont open files directly from Dropbox or disable auto syncing. Dropbox is preventing them from refreshing permissions. Drag local then open and they will work.

Go to Apple System Preferences/Security and Privacy. Add Photoshop to Full Disk Access list and make sure it is checked. Quit and relaunch PS.
