.jsx script cant be opened by a text editor

Hi All

Hope any body can help me, I have a  free script (downloaded time ago from some body I cant remember) for photoshop to convert any photo into halftones called PSP Simrip3.jsx

 

I want to try to edit the code to change the default parameters but when I open the script with tex editor It looks encrypted as you can see in the picture attached, so any body can tell me why this happens?
