Keeps saying Photoshop free trial expired

I have the most updated version of photoshop. My school downloaded via a drive onto my computer and my account keeps saying free trial expired. They said it had something to do with my mac and the fact that it is on Catalina but my friend with the same exact computer and OS as me got photoshop to work. Is there anything wrong with my account?

And your friend has the same exact veersion of Mac OS X, and that would be Catalina 10.15.x, and the same exact version of Photoshop 2020 21.0.3 downloaded from the schools servers?

I would first check all that. For the OS go to the Apple logo and select "About this Mac" and in PS go to the Help menu and select System Info. Do that on Both computers and cross reference all the version numbers.

Try Signing out , reboot the computer then sign in.

If that doesn't work then look here.

Did you sign up for the subscription? Photoshop is not free.

Yes, the school bought photoshop and gave me a flash drive to install it. It has worked in the past like this but the tech department kept saying it had to do with Catalina

You don't install froma  flash drive and you should have an account to log into. I'd contact Adobe for help at this point.
