Lasso and path tools not leaving data points when I click

I'm assuming I hit something but it seems like out of nowhere my lasso and path selection tools will no longer leave data points when I click. They just do nothing. I couldn't figure it out so I uninstalled/reinstalled but the issue persists. Please help!

Oh boy lol, my apologies. But yes, I'm using photoshop, and presumably the latest version as I just downloaded it a couple days ago
