I normally use Layer Comps a lot for Visibility.

Today I needed it for positioning.

If during the making of the comp I also check "position," shouldn't picking the comp shift the position of layers?

Example:

I put down these layers and make a GREEN on TOP comp.

I then drag the GREEN layer below the PURPLE one, and make a PURPLE on TOP comp.

When switching between comps, nothing is changing... 😞

Am I getting it wrong how this is supposed to work...?

Hi @Signfeld ,

The position switch refers to the physical position (x position=0 , y position=10) on the canvas not the layer order.

If you want to capture layer order as well, consider using Snapshots on the History panel. This should help.

Thanks! I had a small intuition it might not be a bug, so didn't call it that. Just couldn't think of your reply...
