After updating to Photoshop 2021, the Legacy Save for Web feature will no longer work. I get a permissions error. I have reset all permissions and still cannot find a solution. I've tried new files, old files, different file types and destinations — even external drives.

Same here. I use this to export files into segments. Any other way to export segments into different files?
It's for a purpose such as a swipeable seamless picture om Instagram.

I'm using Photoshop 2022 on macOS Monterey (everything is currently up to date) and I can't export a gif I just made using "save for web (legacy)." I keep getting the error message saying, "Could not complete this operation. There was not enough memory available." I currently have 156GB available on my MacBook Air.
After researching different forums suggesting changing the RAM to 55%, I've found that you cannot adjust the RAM of a MacBook Air. I really hope there is another way around this.
Any one else having similar issues?

In System Preferences, >Security & Privacy, >Full Disk Access, do you see Photoshop listed? If not, do add it and try again.
You might also try running a free utility like Onyx:
