lightroom Classic to photoshop

I can not import jpeg psd and psb to photoshop from lightroom. It will only allow me to import raw files to edit in photoshop.

I'm only able to edit a non-raw fileusing the "edit a copy with lightroom adjustments" which leaves me with a flattened imge with no layers.

LrC doesn't know about layers. When you import a layered file, it works with a flattened composite.

If you want the layers when using Edit in, you have to choose Edit original, which does not include edits you have done in LrC.

This is not a bug, and as designed.

That is correct but when I choose Edit original photoshop give me the error page and will not open the file.

What happened when you try to open the file directly in Photoshop?

Which version of Lightroom and Photoshop do you use? If you use older versions try to install the latest versions, Lightroom 13.5 and Photoshop 25.11

Try to reset the preferences of Lightroom and Photoshop to the default values.

I'll recommend to backup the preferences before you doing the reset.

All photoshop files. I can openany file directly into photoshop. All adobe apps are the latest version.
