Liquify taking longer and longer to open in Photoshop

Hey,

Whenever I am trying to use liquify on my digital painting, it continues to takes longer and longer to open. For example when I first open photoshop, I can start a digital painting project or open one and choose liquify and the UX pops up in a few seconds, 

But it seems like as I continue painting and the file gets marked on for a few hours, everytime I open liquify it just takes a few minutes to open and is pretty slow.

My PC specs are:

Windows 10

Ryzen 3950x CPU

64gig Corsair Vengance 3200RPM RAM

GTX 2080TI Super 

Photoshop version: 22.4.2
