Hello,
Is there a practical or upper limit to how many files I can load into a stack?
I have 140 TIFs, all identical in resolution, shot on a locked down tripod, of fireworks. Each file is about 60mb on a Win10/64 compressed SSD. The computer has 64 gig of memory.
I want to stack, crop, and then export all these into a separate output folder.
If this is just too many to do at once, is there a suggested approach to get these all cropped and still remain aligned/registered? (I can think of a couple approaches, but welcome practical suggestions).
I need to keep them aligned as these will be assembled into a simple slide show afterwards. (Does anyone have suggestions on an app for creating a slideshow?)
Thanks for your help.
Running both PS 26.4 (release) and the most current Beta on up to date Win10/64.
Thank you!
Jerry

Hello Mangurian,
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm concerned about filesize. Were your layers TIFFs/PSDs or JPGs?
Thanks!

It doesn't matter, once they are layers the original file format and compression is a moot point.

Thanks Stephen.
I just did the arithmetic: 140 files at 60 mb each is only about 8.2 gig, so I guess that's manageable. Will try and see...
