So I just got photoshop and I am not that experienced at it, however i do know that my 3d workspace is a bit different to others I have seen online. Can anyone help me?

Hello, unfortunately for some, the 3D features of Photoshop have to be retired and will be removed from Photoshop.
Derek gave you a link to a page that has more info.
Basically, either use an old version of Photoshop, or other tools from Adobe in the Substance subscription...

It is likely that those tutorials are using older versions of Photoshop before the 3D features have been deprecated. Now Illustrator have inherited better 3D features that partially replace those from old Photoshop versions, or you can use a simple stager (such as Adobe Dimension, included in the full CC subscription) or the suite of dedicated 3D apps called substance as @PECourtejoie indicated.
