I have read through all the threads, I couldn't find the solution.
I use an ultrawide monitor. Sometimes I use half left photoshop and half right chrome or something for reference.
Every time I switch from chrome (or whatever) to photoshop, the photoshop resize to maximize. This is crazy. Then I need to resize it to half size again to look chrome and photoshop together.
Recently I reset my mac and re-install the photoshop, then this issue happens.
It was like this before.
I have attached the screen capture video
This is not good for my job. Please save my job.

Hi @Daniel26141945wy2z ,
What has worked for me is resizing and positioning the Ps window manually and then doing the same for Chrome.
If I toggle between docs in Ps or move to Chrome and return to Ps it holds the resized window position.
Try this, and let us know how you go.
Best
