Marquee tool requiring me to select rectangular marguee too each time

I always used the rectangular marquee tool and until yesterday didn't need to select it when I click on it, but now each time I have to select it. How do I change it back so I don't have to do this each time?

Nevermind. I rebooted and that solved the problem.
