Mobile app in iOS, how to fill a selection w color?

I can't find how to fill a selection with the foreground color on the mobile app in iOS. Help anyone?

I deleted the app under iPad Storage. I don't delete the icon anymore as I don't think it is a thourogh deletion. Went to the App Store, downloaded again. Now it works when I choose Paint Bucket and touch the selection area. Also Painting w a brush works. Thank you for reaching out to me, Jane-e.

Select a foreground color > Make a selection > Click the Paintbucket tool.

That's what I thought, but no joy. AP Mobile does nothing but select the paint bucket. I had to move to a magic keyboard and hit Option+Delete. Are you saying selecting paint bucket will auto paint the foreground. Not working here.

 

Further, I cannot paint w the brush tool using foreground or background, inside a selection. The layer is not locked. The brush is 100%. What the heck is this app?
