Photoshop V 26.11.0
Windows 11, Build 26100.6584
When using Photoshop, the cursor can randomly stick on one particular pointer style. For instance, it may stick on the regular curser arrow, a window resize arrow, the magnifier or whatever. This seems to happen pretty much randomly - I can sometimes go several days without it happening, other times it happens several times a day. Most recently it has happened immediately upon starting Photoshop, both today and yesterday.
Once this happens, the curser sticks like that no matter what program I am using or even just on the Windows desktop. Sometimes within Photoshop if I keep trying to work, it will randomly change to a different curser, which it then sticks on. On a couple of occasions when using other programs the cursor has come back to life and started behaving normally again.
It doesn't appear to be hardware related as it can happen both when using my mouse, or my Wacom tablet.
The only way to force it to return to normal behaviour is to restart Windows.
It's a real pain and makes Photoshop and my other illustration programs almost unuseable.

Hi @Dave Addo,
Thanks for the detailed description. The cursor behavior you described does sound unusual. We’ve recently released Photoshop v27.0. Could you please update to the latest version and see if the same behavior still occurs?
If it does, it would be great if you could share:
• A short screen recording showing when and how the cursor gets stuck (for example, what tool you were using or action you were performing).
• Any consistent steps to reproduce the issue, if you’ve noticed a pattern (e.g., switching between tools, resizing panels,etc.).
Once you share that, I can forward the details and video to the product team for review.
Best,
Anshul Saini
