Move Tool not working correctly

Hi!

I am an amateur Photoshop user with a question. My Photoshop move tool is not working correctly. IDK if its something I did wrong, or a bug, but I cannot move objects that I selected with the lasso tool, as well as the quick selection tool. Can someone help me?

Do you see some error message? It is best to post screenshot of entire window with Layers panel visible so we can see which layer is selected/active.

Do you have the relevant layer selected?
Is the layer locked?

If everything looks OK, try resetting the Move tool

Hi!

Your problem might be that you do not see the Transform Controls (the handles, you can check the box with the same name in the Move tool's Option Bar.

(their visibility does not prevent you to use the move tool, but you might think that it does not work.)
