My ipad will only let me put an image on but not anything else

Hi, 

I regularly use photoshop on my iPad and have never had this issue before however i can only now upload an image but that is it other than that I can't draw, erase, change the size or anything else even when I use new layers or create a whole new document it does the same thing over again, I've even waited a whole day and it's still doing the same thing.

any help would be super great
