Não consigo colar imagem sobre máscara

Não estou conseguindo colar imagem sobre máscara de camada. Cliquei ALT com a máscara selecionada após ter copiado a imagem para colar sobre, e não aconteceu absolutamente nada depois que dei CTRL + V. Tentei reiniciar o programa e reiniciar o computador e o mesmo erro continua persistindo.

You made a mistake in the first step, because you copied the layer instead of the layer's content. Select All as the first step, copy, then continue as shown in the video.
