natural painting

Screenshot (1).pngI use artrage and just love the thick natural painting and how my paint mixes into natural tones and into the texture of my canvas. not to forget using tubes and knife to paint just feel so much like what I could get with the real thing. Can photoshop do this as well? so far I have been able to use a canvas pattern to get the texture but this seems as far as it can go.

Have a look at Adobe Illustrator or Corel Painter: https://www.painterartist.com/en/product/painter/

You might want to look at the mixer brush and also for texture consider putting at at the top of your layer stack and use Blend Modes to mix it with the layer(s) below, you can accompany that with painting on a layer mask to give different strengths of teh texture in different areas.
