Necesito restaurar una foto

Hola a todos, buen día.

Acudo a esta comunidad porque, aunque no sé manejar Photoshop ni herramientas avanzadas de edición, tengo una necesidad muy especial que me gustaría resolver con su ayuda.

Deseo restaurar una fotografía que tiene un enorme valor sentimental para mí. Es la imagen de un amigo muy querido que falleció por complicaciones de COVID, y esta foto es uno de los pocos recuerdos que conservo de él. Lamentablemente, la calidad es muy baja y está bastante deteriorada.

Quisiera saber si alguno de ustedes podría orientarme sobre cómo mejorarla o si existe alguna forma, quizá con ayuda de inteligencia artificial, de restaurarla utilizando otras fotos de referencia que sí tengo en buena calidad. No busco algo profesional, solo conservar de la mejor forma posible este recuerdo tan importante.

Agradezco profundamente cualquier guía, sugerencia o apoyo que puedan brindarme.

It's not really realistic to give you a step-by-step tutorial on this forum. 

But I had a quick go.  You can find proper tutorials on the Adobe site and on Youtube.

My worflow was:

– I cropped the image (to make it a better shape)

– Expanded it a little using Generative Expand, then merged the layers

– I then ussed AI – Select > All

– Contextual Task Bar > try the various Adobe Models (add a prompt about opening the eyes and sharpening the image)

– Try various models and merge the selected one (possibly use Generative Upscale).

– Use the curves to adjust the lighting.

(There are many workflows – this is just one very brief one)

Hola, gracias por tomarte el tiempo de revisar y contestar mi mensaje, la foto que necesito restaurar es la que acabo de subir, es muy dificil hacerlo o para mí, que no tengo idea de como manejar la aplicación y tengo que buscar en los tutoriales, aunque a decir verdad no he tenido mucho éxito.

There are several Facebook groups where you can post images and volunteers will optimise them for free.

Hello @yasmid_8618 Unfortunately even a seasoned professional will have issues trying to work with this image as it is extremely small (160 x 119px) with no detail to work with. Even with your other source images this is a large undertaking with many hours work.

Yes, Kevin's right, that particular image is far too small (low resoloution) to do much with. If you can get a larger scan it would help.
