Where a mask is white, the content of the layer to which the mask is attached is revealed.Where a mask is black the content of that layer is hidden and the layer, or layers, underneath show through. Given that you have a black layer underneath, it appears to be working correctly.

What are you trying to do? The masks are working fine. You have a black fill layer under the chopsticks hiding the other layers.
