Need help with Image enhancement

Hello all,

I need some help with enhancement of an image I have, but having a hard time figuring out the enhance image feature in ACR (I am new to photoshop). My requirement is simple (at least to the experts in this community). I have an image with a resolution of 3840 X 3840 pixels. The original image was 960 X 960 pixels. I used the free cutpro software for image enhancement which subsequently made it 3840 X 3840 pix.

I want to print my image as a wall paper of 5 by 5 feet..The current image (3840X3840) when zoomed at that level shows up little blurry. I want to know if the image can get any better in photoshop.

If there are any experts out there, pls let me know. I can message the image, if anyone can help out. This will be a big help to me, if someone can come forward.

Quite honestly, this is a lost cause. You can do it, but there's no way it will look good.

3840 x 3840 reproduced at 5 x 5 feet is no problem in itself. That could go straight up. What I'm concerned with is the upsampling from a 960 pixel original.

You cannot just upsample pixel images without degradation. How much degradation depends on the scaling factor - but here the scaling factor is through the roof. This is 960 pixels. Click to see at 100%:

I would advise against this, but if you have to:

Throw away the one you have. Take the original 960 pixel image and run it through Super Resolution in ACR. This gives you 2x linear/4x area. You can take the result and run it through Super Resolution once more to get the size you want - but I suspect it will actually look slightly better if you stop there, and print 1920 x 1920 pixels at 5 x 5 feet.

Open the result in ACR and experiment with the different sharpening sliders in the Detail panel. You probably need a low Radius and the Detail slider at near zero to avoid artifact buildup.

But again - I wash my hands of this. I do not believe this will look acceptable in any way.

Tha looks very mucg like a Firefly or Generative Fill Ai image to me.  If you try Firefly again, I think will generate a 2000 pixel square image now, but I guess it is unlikely to be exactly the same as your original.

Some additional tools that may help you for upscaling. You can also try to use the JPEG Artifact removal tool in Neural Filters to help smooth out some of the jaggedness. You can ad it as a smart filter and mask out areas where you may want to keep more detail from your upscaling. Other options would be to add in addition or separately a small blur to smoothout artifacts. This will make the image more blurry up close but may help from viewing at a distance.

As @D Fosse mentioned, there are limitations to making an image larger. Hope those tools help on your process!
