Neural Filter Colorize Not Working On Any Image

New Here ,
Mar 19, 2025 Mar 19, 2025

Hello,

I have tried the colorize filter on 5 different black and white images.  When the "processing" completes, nothing changes with the image.  Not a single color anywhere.

I have tried updating PS.  I tried PS version 26.4.1 and 25.12.1.   I have re-downloaded the filter.  I made sure the images were in RGB.

Not sure what to do.  The filter is there with the toggle switch.  No errors happen.  Just no color.

Please help......

Windows 11.  Intel i9.  RTX 3070 gpu.

Your hardware sounds up to the job, and AFAIK when the Neural filters fail they tend to crash the machine rather appear to work but have no effect.  OK, something we can all compare.

That must be some sort of algae bloom in the bottom right caused by climate change.

Have you tried both release and beta versions?

Are you able to see and use the profile presets?

Any other clues, or does it simply appear to be working, but have no effect?

Hey there!!

I have tried both versions including beta.  I can also see all of the presets.

When I "uncheck" the auto color box and attempt to manally color it.  Nothing happens with that either.  I select a color on a specific point and the image never updates.

It literally seems as if the filter is working as intended.......with no color  LOL

(I should also mention, for some reason, it takes at least 2 or 3 minutes for neural filters to load)(not sure if thats an everyone problem or a me problem)

Attached is a screenshot post processing using a free online stock image.  Same results with any image.
