Neural Filters > Super Zoom yields a black corrupted canvas

Latest CC/Ps and latest non-beta Sonoma on a 2019 MBP. I've been using superzoom a lot and it's been working great, then suddenly it started giving me a black canvas, regardless of the options selected (unless none of the options are selected - then it works). Same behavior for "new layer" and "new document". There was NO update to software or system in between it working and not working, there wasn't even a program restart.

So far I've reset preferences which didn't do anything. Same behavior on any file - these are regular 72dpi 8bit RGB jpegs without layers or masks or anything special.

Help.
