I believe you will see posts like "CS4 is DEAD" in the forum- https://community.adobe.com/t5/download-install/ct-p/ct-download-and-install

Even if you could install CS4 you will not be able to Activate it.

You need a subscription for new Adobe software to match your new computer!

If you do not want to subscribe then look for alternatives.

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 13.2 Photoshop 25.5, ACR 16.2, Lightroom 7.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 14.0.2, Windows-11.

If you don't want to subscribe you could take a look at Photoshop Elements which is available on a perpetual licence, and may meet your needs.

Acrobat DC Pro is subscription only.

Dave, there is a perpetual license available for Acrobat Pro without "DC" in the name:

Acrobat Pro DC gets updates and is subscription, while Acrobat Pro 2020 has a perpetual license and omits the feature enhancements described in this paragraph:

"Click here" in that link takes you to this page for purchase:

Adobe is a subscription sistem. If you don't want subscription, there are so many alternative software out there as good as photoshop.

One more thing, Ann: if you are considering Photoshop Elements (perpetual license), there is a 30 free trial available.
