Hi

Have you tried resetting your Photoshop preferences

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

You can download the previous version from the Creative Cloud app

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html

Hello

I too am having the same issue with v23.0.0, Using Mac OS 11.6.0 on a Mac Pro. I upgraded to OS 11.6.1 and Ps2022v23.0.0 will still not open, it crashes instally.
I hate that the first response is always, reset your preferences. It takes a lot of time to set the app to work the way I want and Adobe does not suppiy or suggest a way that prefrences can be saved or printed so that restoring them can be easily accomplished.

I did not delete Ps 22.5.2 and it opens just fine without resetting my preferences under both OS's.

v23.0.0 will not open and I get an Apple problem report. For breviaty, I will copy and paste the error details in a reply to this comment.

If anyone else is haveing the same issue, please add at lease a "Me Too" so that Adobe will see this as an issue without making the user jump through hoops to valdate that this is an issue.
Thank you very much and have a great day.

Hello and thank you for your reply.

You should have received at least six reports manually before I checked "Always send crash reports automatically to Adobe". I thought that would be one less dialogue box to navigate before I sent the Apple crash report. I always try to help you to help me and I understand how important these reports are to fixing these issues for everyone.

It is 8:30 am EST and I just tried to open Ps 2022 v23, it crashed and failed to open. I did not get the Adobe crash report, the "Always send crash reports automatically to Adobe" must still be in effect since it was not presented to me. I do however see the Apple crash report.

So I looked at the "Submit Crash Reports" and turned on the feature to always show Crash Reporter dialog and tried again so that I could include my email in the report.

However, this next attempt I did something different. I was always presented with a window that advised me with something along the lines of "Ps failed, do you want to open the windows again (or something to that effect, I didn't write it down)". I always responded NO and then Ps would crash. Today's second attempt, I said yes and Ps opened!

So, if it helps anyone, say yes to the intermediate window and Ps might open for you. Maybe this is the issue others are having and a valuable clue to what is happening when Ps 2022 continually crashes.

I will look at the version closer today and I will add posts as necessary.

Have a great day.

Hello

I can report that I had one session with the new versiov 23, and now it won't launch again.

I have completed the error report each and every time it crashed. I included my email address.

If it helps, the new version of Media Encoder will not launch eaither.

If there is one consolation, it would appear that I am not the only one experiancing these issues. Was the software rushed to market for Max, it is appearing to be the case.

Here is the message I put into the error report, each time it crashed;

Hello

I uninstalled (did not save preferences) Ps23(2022) and reinstalled from Creative Cloud.

It asked if I wanted to reopen the previous windows, I said no. It failed again!

I had the same problem.  Early 2013 MacBookPro running Catalina.  For me the solution was to delete all the preferneces (actually moved them to another location).  Then PS started and indicated that the GPU did not have sufficent memory.   So it's runnign now without the GPU, and I was able to restore my workspace preference.  I have a new MBP on order, due to arrive in Dec.
