No More Generative Fill Credits Out of the Blue

New Here ,
Jun 16, 2025 Jun 16, 2025

Out of the blue today I got a message that I have no credits to use generative fill.  I use this every day , all day since it was available in Photoshop.  I mean I use it constantly.  If this was credit based I would have run out every month from the get go.  What is going on and how the heck can they charge a credit per use of AI generation when 99% of the time it doesn't even give you the output you want/need! This is some racket!

Same thing happened to me on June 16. I'm really distressed about it. Not sure what to do. Find a free alternative?

Hey there!

Just wanted to confirm that you have not experienced any issues since last week. There does seem to have been an outage around the dates mentioned. https://adobe.ly/4k54RvG

There goes all, or at least most, of my experimentation using generative fill. It's been a lot of fun, but now that we're being charged per click, I'll probably run through my 250 credits in the first week of the month (if not the first day). As Ambers points out, a lot of what gets generated is unusable, and you have to "click, click, click" until you get something that works. It would be a lot fairer of Adobe if they took this into account.
