Not all devanagari fonts work

Hi All,

I'm working with a bit of Sanskrit text and for some reason the text just does not display correctly when I paste it in, not even with Adobe Devanagari fonts. I've gotten Linotype Devanagari Regular font from a website and that worked in the preview on the site but doesn't work on Photoshop. For some reason the text does seem to work with Kohinoor Devanagari fonts though.

For context, I'm using an Apple MacBook M1 Pro and using Photoshop v25. This is very urgent work and any help would be appreciated.

In Photoshop, the location where the font appears varies depending on the language it supports.
" Kohinoor Devanagari ", which supports multiple languages, is at the top.
" Adobe Devanagari ", which supports limited languages, is at the bottom.
