Please, why the program shifts from brush to eraser tool and vice versa, upon applying the choice? Than you.

Hi there,

Sorry for the trouble experienced in Photoshop. Would you mind sharing with me the current version of your Photoshop and operating system? Did you try any troubleshooting from your end? Are you working on a desktop and using shortcuts to switch between the tools or you are using a tablet? Do the change i.e. shifting between the tools happen in between your work, or directly once you select it? From when are you noticing this? Happy to help, just need a little information.

You may try to reset Photoshop preferences back to defaults and check if that helps. Here's the article for the steps: https://adobe.ly/3ceal5t Also, back up the existing Photoshop preferences if you have any custom brushes, action, and workspace: https://adobe.ly/2vNz6FG

Once you are done resetting preferences, close Photoshop and try to remove all external connections like USB Cable, Drawing Tablet, etc. Once done re-launch Photoshop. Let us know if that helps.

Thanks,

Ranjisha
