Photoshop 26.8.1 - Windows and Mac

When importing Patterns, there is now a number appended to the end of the folder name which is causing issues

Hi @IanBarber, thanks so much for reaching out!

Could you share a few more details about what’s happening? I tried creating multiple pattern groups with the same name on my end, but I’m not seeing the numbers being added at the end. How are you creating or importing those pattern groups?

If the numbers are getting in the way, you can right-click and rename them to clean things up a bit.

Appreciate the info
Alek

Hi @Aleke

Here is a short video demostrating the issue.

Yes although I can rename them, the issue I have is that I have UXP plugins which rely on the actual pattern name when imported and adding numbers to the end is causing the UXP plugin to fail.

Hi @IanBarber, thanks for sharing the video!

I followed your exact workflow and was able to reproduce the same behavior on my end. I’ve passed it along to the team so we can take a closer look.

I’ll keep you posted as soon as I hear anything new.

Thanks again!
Alek
