A friend sent me al old multiple layer PNG file made with Firework CS6. I want to edit and work further with the file but my photoshop wont  "import" the various original layers. Is it even possible? Or should I find an old laptop with Fireworks CS6 installed and export de file? Please help

The easiest thing to do is use a online photo editor called Photopea which you can read about and get a link from this thread.

Fireworks CS6 is also available with an All Applications Creative Cloud subscription, but unfortunately will not run on the current macOS.
