Older version Photoshop can't open latest Photoshop saved file

First of all, I apologize for my English Grammer. 

Recently, Creative Clouds auto-updated my Photoshop to version 24.0, and later I tried to run some files and noticed that it caused my laptop to lag. Until to the point that I need to wait for a full 10 seconds before doing the next steps. 

after that, I downgraded my photoshop to version 23.5 and tried to open the same file and it prompt a warning message that says

"This file does not have an app associated with it for performing this action. Please install an app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page. "

I am only able to open the file by right-clicking and open with... photoshop. 

Below are my laptop details:

Windows 10 Pro

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10750H CPU @ 2.60GHz 2.59 GHz

System: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

RAM: 32.0 GB (31.6 GB usable)

Photoshop Version:
24.0 to 23.5.2

File associations can be fixed as the message already tells you. From your right-click menu simply choose "Other Program...", select Photoshop and tick the "Make Default" option.
