On photoshop v22.4. What are the items that will prevent me from saving as a jpg?

"Hi Since the update to v22.4, if your file contains items that are not supported in your required format (e.g. layers or 16 bits/channel) then the file format is moved to the Save a Copy menu." this was an answer byt davescm ( https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop-ecosystem/very-limited-saving-options/td-p/12042624 ) 

ive been trying to change the bits/channels to different ones to try to use the save as instead of the save a copy, but is not working for me. what are the items or what feature do I need to change on my file so I can use save as?

Hi

 

Instead of changing your file, you can change your preferences if you have 22.4.2 or later in Preferences > File Handling > File Saving Options:

  • Enable Legacy Save As
  • Do not append Copy to filename
