PS is set to open images using photoshop, but it opens DNG files in Camera Raw. I can’t figure out how to change that one. Thanks in advance. I have never gotten DNG files until today!

All RAW files will open into Camera RAW by default. I wrote a Bridge script to bypass Camera RAW, you can also use the Batch feature from Bridge to do so.

DNG files usually contain raw camera data, but DNG is just a wrapper, similar to TIFF... So it's possible to save a rendered file like a PSD or a JPG as a DNG file, it's not raw camera data and does not behave like raw camera data, but it will still open in the Adobe Camera Raw plug-in by default.
