Overlay mural in perspective on a building.

Hi all.

I'd like to learn the best way to overlay a vector graphic mural in perspective on a building wall (or other object). This is for a mockup for a project pitch.

Ideally, I'd like to be able to create the document so that I can easily slot in alternative versions of the mural.

I have managed to approximate a fairly good result by using the polygon lasso in a mask, pasting the mural and then deleting the inverse selection. While this works, it's imprecise and requires me to redo the whole process for each version.

 Is there a better way?

Place a Smart Object, free transform it to match the perspective, apply a Layer Mask.

Optionally set to Multiply and/or add Adjustment Layers to emulate the lighting.

You should try using Vanishing Point to apply the image onto the building in perspective.
