I do not seem to find the Page Set-up for Photoshop CS5. Was it relocated or does it automatically determine the paper size, etc. In the file menu, I can only see Print and Print One Copy. In CS 4, there is a Page Set-up. Is this printer driver related? I

You can access what was the File>Page Setup... command from the File>Print... dialog by clicking the [Print Settings...] button.

Thank you very much, that is the one.
I actually was clicking on that earlier but was not getting anything, perhaps it was the way I click on the button.

I see the "Page Setup" button.... but I don't see the "Print Settings" button. Where is that Button?

Click on FILE, PRINT, then PRINT SETTINGS, then you should see the page set-up.

Thanks, I finally figured out the problem. On my Mac, I was seeing "Page Setup" where you are seeing "Print Settings". After I clicked on the "Page Settings" button, I was taken to the Epson print window where I could select "Print Settings".

When I press print settings on my Mac Pro using an Epson R1800, nothing happens. I am unable to access any sort of page setup.

Hi,
Attention: Jeffrey Tranberry
I noticed that if color handling is set to 'PRINTER MANAGES COLOR', I CANNOT access the PAGE SET UP by clicking on the PRINT SETTINGS button, however if Color Handling is set to "PHOTOSHOP MANAGES COLOR" then I can access the PAGE SET UP dialog box.
PS CS4 is not like this. Was it really meant to be that way for PS CS5? Is my observation an isolated case?

Frankly, this issue is driving me crazy. In order to print I must use Photoshop CS4 because I cannot change any settings for my Epson R1800 when trying to print from CS5. I am using latest OS and Epson driver (6.12).

I have found a work-around to the disabled Print Settings button problem in Photoshop CS5!!!
I don't know why it works but it does.
The only problem is that you'll need another printer connected to your Mac. I think a different kind/brand of printer all together.
The Print Settings button does not work with my Canon color printer. However it does with my HP laser printer.
I set the printer to the HP laser printer.Print Settings works.
I change the page size to something else. Doesn't matter what, I just change the page size. I click done.
I change the printer back to the Canon ink jet. Now the Print Settings button works.
Looks like I'll need to do this every time I print 😞
If you don't have another printer you may want to try setting up a pdf printer in the Add Printer section of System Settings. See if you can do the printer switcharoo with that. I haven't tried it but it might work.
Good luck!

Thanks! You would think that Adobe could easily fix this...

The print dialogue seems to be broken. I have a possibly related problem: I need to save EPS files with the screen settings embedded. PS CS5 doesn't offer that button anymore, I must re-open every file in PS CS4 just to do this. I asked this question some two weeks ago and never got an answer.

Saving Postscript works more or less the way it did in CS4. I admit, it's not terribly obvious but it does work. Go to the Print Settings window
Select the format, and click the Save button (just like you would for any other settings in that window). Now when you click "print" in the Photoshop Print Window, it will save the eps or pdf file. Basically, it all works the same as CS4 but the order of operations is different. We moved the OS print window into the Photoshop Print Window so we could capture complete print actions. You can now create an action that includes all of the print settings including the driver and OS settings (paper type, paper size, color management, etc).

With the 1800, make sure you have the latest driver. Last I checked, it was version 6.57, which was available from Epson Europe's website, but not in the US (not sure why). Start at http://esupport.epson-europe.com/ and go from there.

Clicking on print settings brings up a window but still doesn’t allow me to print in the landscape mode or give me the option of printing a percentage of the image. This in spite of clicking on “Photoshop manages colors“ I don’t get it. Is there any other way to bring up a legitimate Page setup window? This seems crazy!

Do you have CS5 12.0.2? Are you running 10.6.6? There was a bug in 10.6.5 that made some print drivers unable to print certain orientations...

Hi Again,
I just downloaded and installed the 12.0.2 update. I still have the
same problem. I am using an Epson 2200 ink jet printer. I don't get
it. Every application under the sun as a page setup. Why would they
omit this in a product costing hundreds of dollars?

Did you restart your Mac after updating?

Thanks for your query. I did restart the Mac. I have 3 printers. A
select 360 Laser printer, an Epson 2200 Inkjet, and a HP C309A ink
jet. I am unable to access a page setup window in any of them. When I
click on Print Settings the pop up window shows only the printer
capabilities. I am unable to select a landscape mode or percentage of
size. These options do not appear no matter what I do.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.

In the Print dialog, do you see the Portrait and Landscape buttons to the right of the Print Settings button? That's how you set the orientation of the image/paper. Down in the Scaled Print Size is how you set the Scale.

Thanks for your help Jeff, I think I 've finally figured it out. When
I click on print settings, the landscape frames are grayed out and
there is no choice of image size. I can access all the printer
capabilities though. However

I seem to have given up a lot of control with my Epson Styluspro 4800. Custom paper sizes and print settings seem both more difficult and limited. Additionally, my OnOne plugins crash with regularity. I can go back to cs4 for printing but I'll have to reinstall a back version of the plugins. So far a huge waste of money.
