PASTING INTO PHOTOSHOP

I have just upgraded to 2022 PS & AI. I use cut and paste into PS constantly, and in the older versions of PS, mainly at 200 - 300DPI, for proofing files etc. I simply set the resolution in the "NEW" to what I wanted, and it would create a file, whcih I pasted into. It sized the file at the size that it was copied out of AI. No need to enter sizes, as PS would make to the size from AI. I could repeat this as often as I liked, with the resolution staying at the previous set value. Very fast, but in the new PS it defaults 72dpi in the "NEW" dialogue box, every time I paste, and when I do, it fits it in the small frame. Very time consuming - can it be like the older versions?

It seems I can reproduce the resolution-behaviour.

You could use an Action as a work-around and assign it a shortcut.
