Path within path do not convert to selection

Hello All,

Since the latest update 24.3.0 I'm having the problem that the paths I make do not convert to a selection properly.

For example: if you have a path of a donut you make a path around the outside circle and the inside circle.

In the past when I click to make a selection it would make a selection of the inside shape subtracted from the outside shape,

but now it only makes a shape of the outside shape and ignores the inside shape.

Is it a default setting that changed in this update or an actual bug?

I'm running Ventura 13.1

Hi, how do you convert to a path, using the path panel, the option bar, a right-click?

In the path panel, does your donut look a white donut with a grey background, and a grey center?

You might need to change the pathfinder operations to acheive it, and get the correct selection.
