Pen tool selection - paint tool selection no longer works

I clip out products and sometimes use the pen tool to get the curvature correct. Usually I can create a selection using the pen tool and then use the fill bucket to fill black or white to my image mask. It no longer has that capability in this version.

To fill a path made by the Pen tool, you need to use the Paths panel.

Instead, convert the path to a selection (Paths panel or Ctrl+Enter) and fill the selection with the paint bucket. Instead of the obsolete paint bucket, you might also fill your selections with keyboard shortcuts:

• To Fill with the Foreground color press Alt Backspace
• To Fill with the Background color press Ctrl Backspace
