Photomerge make Photoshop freeze

Photoshop freeze each time I try to open the option photomerge ? I don't even get the window where I am supposed to select the photos. I have to force the closing of Photoshop after with crtl+Alt+sup... I did reboot computer, reinstall Photoshop (2024, from creative desktop so it is updated), check if computer memory is full- it is not.

So what to do ? Thanks for your help !
