Today, all of a sudden, the Photoshop shortcut in my Mac task bar won't open the applicatioin when clicked. The only way I can open is by opening the Creative Cloud application and clicking "open" on the most recent update. What is happening?
The icon on the Dock is a shortcut and it may (possibly) be going to an older version that is no longer installed. Do this:
Delete the icon on your Dock by dragging it up and off.
Launch PS through the CC app.
To keep the icon permanently on your Dock, either drag it to a new position or right-click and choose Keep on Dock. If you don't do this last step, it will disappear when you quit PS.
