Photoshop 2024 (25.3.1) Clone and Healing brush sampling lag

Hey guys,

I'm having a problem, which I know is recurrent in other versions of PS, but as I didn't find any recent topics, so I'll create one here.

Whenever I work with the clone or the healing brush, when I press Alt to select a sample of the image, there is a lag, something like 1 or 2 seconds, but it is very annoying and really disrupts my normal work flow.

From what I've researched, this problem has been recurring since Photoshop 2018, and every year the technical team releases a fix for the problem in question.

But so far there has been nothing related to this for Photoshop 2024 (Version 25.3.1).

Can we talk to the tec team about a fix for this?

I'm having the same problem on two machines here in the office with different hardware configurations and different operating systems.

Can you help me?

Hey guys!

I have news about my case, so far I haven't found anything that resolves my situation, the problem still persists, both on my desktop computer with Windows 10 and on my laptop with Windows 11.

But I realized that the problem is not limited to just the clone and the healing brush. All functions that depend on the alt key have this annoying delay before they work.

I've already tried resetting Photoshop to factory settings on both machines and nothing has helped.

Even the alt+tab function in Windows has this lock, within Photoshop.

Whenever I press alt, as long as I'm inside Photoshop, the system takes 1 to 2 seconds to recognize that I've press it, even using different keyboards, and different operating systems.

What can this be?

Hey guys!

The new Photoshop 25.4 update appears to have fixed this Alt key issue, but it came with a new issue that keeps shutting down GPU processing.

I already commented on a new topic that opened about this.
