My current computer I built many years ago and it's served me well. However, it is not Windows 11 upgradeable, and while it works with Photoshop 2025 for what I do, it does generate warnings.

So I've decided to look for a new one, pre-built. I'm done with the build it yourself years. 🙂

I tried the reconditioned options and the feedback has stirred me away from the models I found. So I looked to see if I could find a brand new one that would fit what I want to spend. I would appreciate your feedback.

These are the minimum requirements to run Photoshop.  But your mileage may vary depending on the type of work you do. CPU, GPU, Scratch Disk space and RAM are essential. The more you do, the more resources you need.  Allow some extra wiggle room for your operating system, other apps and workflow.

DELL PCs purchased direct from DELL have served me very well over the years. That's not a paid endorsement, I'm just a very satisfied customer.

Good luck!

You are doing the right thing looking at Gaming systems.  They naturally have similar requirements to content creation apps like Photoshop, and yo get some economy-of-scale cost benefits.  Do you know what the drive is, and will you be fitting extra storage?  Photoshop can use a lot of scratch space, and reading and writing to 5, 10, 20+GB of data can be quite a bottleneck.  Looking at the specs it seems you have at least one more M.2 slot, so can add a second drive later.

Thank you for your feedback.

The system uses a

1 TB PCIeR NVMeT M.2 SSD

It says I can add a 2nd drive for about $80 but it is a 2TB 7200 RPM SADA

Blessings,
