Photoshop 2025 laggy zoom in/zoom out and brush tool and rectangle tool

Can someone please help me? Photoshop has been like this for a month and I've been doing everything I can to make it run fast.

• I've tried adjusting the NVIDIA Control Panel settings to get it to run faster.
• The Photoshop perferences settings
• I tried disabling Windows AntiSever and closing apps on the task manager.
• I even tried clearing my computers cache.
• Ive tried adding Photoshop to the NVIDIA app to see if it can get it to run fast.

Still nothing.

What do I do?

I turned off Use Graphics Processor and it moves fast again however I can't use the Rotation View Tool.

How can I get Photoshop to run fast again?

Do you have uinstalled the Studio Version of NVidia's graphic device driver?

In the system info I see that there's a Intel GPU active. I think this is the CPU internal GPU. Please try to deactivate this GPU in device manager in Windows and check. Sometimes the are conflicts if both GPUs are active.

I just disabled it and it just changed the display into a completely different landscape and made everything wider. 

Photoshop is even running slower than it was before when moving the brush tool when I disable the Intel display.

You want me to uninstall the studio NVIDIA driver? 

I just installed that hoping it would make Photoshop run faster but it's still laggy regardless.

Do you have reset all settings that you've changed in the NVdias control panel?

Try a clean reinstallation of the NVidia driver.

Try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:

It's recommended to backup your settings before resetting the preferences.

I'm trying to restore the settings through the NVIDIA app.

I really am scared of uninstalling the driver then re installing it because if I do I feel like my computer wont function the same. 

My computer is expensive too.

There has to be some alternative simple way of making Photoshop run faster. 

I'm not exactly sure why it's running slow all the sudden maybe its likely due to the update of my drivers or Photoshop.

Is there anything on my Task Manager that needs to be running or not?

You have (conflicting) dual graphics, always a potential problem with laptops. The fact that it performs normally when you disable the GPU, confirms this.

Try to completely disable the Intel Iris Xe. See section 6 & 7 here.

Photoshop uses the GPU for actual data processing. It goes back and forth, it's not a simple one-way downstream flow. There can only be one GPU in this equation.

I disabled my Intel display in device manager and then after restarting my computer. The brush tool movement moved even slower than when I had both running.

I don't know what to do anymore and I tried doing vice versa by disabling NVIDIA and have Intel run with Photoshop and its the same.

Would I need to uninstall my Intel Driver I'm kind of scared to because it might be hard for me to download the driver again.

Ooof the amount of work to just make Photoshop run fast again without completely disabling the processor.

Very strange. In the Taskmanager I see only the LenovoVanatage that consumes 10% CPU. What happen if you disable the whole LenovoVantage. I think this isn't necessary to run all the time.

On a closer look to your system info I'll see that Photoshop uses 100% of the memory. 

This isn't a good setting. Normally you should set the meory usage in the preferences to 70-75%

So there's enough memory for other (system) applications and/or tasks.

I did those and still no luck. I wish I knew what was making Photoshop run slow with Graphic Processor on. I tried reinstalling NVIDIA.🫤

Intel Evo i9 is apparantly the drive my laptop uses but when I goto Device Manager it says Intel(R) Iris (R) Xe Graphics.

And I just did a clean uninstall of CC and uninstalled PS 2025 and then installed CC again and its my brush is still running slow.

I can disable the processor but if I do I won't be able to use the rotation tool because it says it only works with OpenGL enabled documents.

As I see in your system info, you have build in a external NVidia RTX 4060. This a powerful graphic device and should work perfect together with Photoshop.

Check if you have installed the latest available version of the NVidia driver. Please use the Studio version and not the Game ready version!!! 

After you have diabled the Intel GPU goto the Photoshop preferences and check if the GPU support for the RTX 4060 is enabled.
