Photoshop 2026 crushingly SLOW

New Here ,
Dec 05, 2025 Dec 05, 2025

Photshop 2026 is INCREDIBLY SLOW! I'm at a loss with the update to 27.0.0. Both my work Adobe CC PS account and personal PS account are running Photoshop like it's 1990 (yes, I was a user the year when it came out). Buggy, slow, rainbow, waiting forever for simple tasks. Have rebooted so many times, but nothing works. I've increased the allotted RAM and tried to optimize both computers for this new version, but it continues to negatively affect my workflow. Both iMacs are newish, running Tahoe and loaded. This should not be happening. Anyone else?

I also wanted to add that I can't find a crash report using the email address you used to register for the community. Have you been able to submit a crash report? If so, can you DM the email address you would have used for that?

Here is an article on how to submit a crash report: https://adobe.ly/3Mv7gVv

Hey, @karenb2. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll help you figure this out.

We haven't heard back from the OP, and we're interested in learning more. Please share the system information from Photoshop Help > System Info > Copy and paste it into a text document > Upload and attach it here.

Please share more details, such as screenshots of the Layers panels, and video recordings of your workflow. At this point, the given information is insufficient for us to assist you.

Thanks!
Sameer K

Hi @karenb2, thank you for sending your system information! Could you also send us screen recordings of this behavior you're seeing? Is there anything that triggers it, or does it happen right when you open? Does this happen with every file you open? ^CH
