Hello there. A very strange situation happened after Photoshop's 22.5 upgrade. I usually work on 1080x1080 pixel files. When I saved these psd files as jpg with the "save a copy" command, they reached 12-13 mb in size. When I save the jpg from different applications, it becomes 500-600 kb. When I add a photo to PSD, the jpg file size becomes 12-13 mb each time. It somehow loads an extra 10mb into the jpg file. This doesn't happen if I save with "Save for web". I downgraded and reverted to version 22.4.2. Fixed.
I am using a mac mini with m1 processor.

The likely culprit is Ancestors Metadata (but that would be unrelated to 22.5.0).

Use the Script from the linked thread (in the first reply-post) to remove Ancestors Metadata.

Is there a lot of text under File > File Info > Raw Data?
