Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. We're sorry to hear about the trouble with photoshop 23.4.2.

Since when are you seeing this issue? Which version of Windows are you using? Do you see any error messages?

Did you try re-installing & resetting your preferences? If not, please try and check.

You can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps mentioned here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#reset_preferences.

Please backup your settings prior to resetting the preferences.

You can check: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#BackupPhotoshoppreferences

.

It could be a permissions issue with Photoshop accessing the required folder, do you have to run Photoshop from a different Admin account, or do you refer to the right click & 'Run as Administrator' process?

If it is the latter, please try the following and let us know if it helps.

  • In the Creative Cloud app, press CTRL + ALT + T to launch Creative Cloud Troubleshooter & select 'Close Creative Cloud and related processes' > click on Go.
  • Go to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2022
  • Right-click on Photoshop.exe > Properties > Compatibility > Change Settings for all users > Check 'Run this program as an administraor'

  • Click on OK & Apply to save the changes.
  • Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Creative Cloud\ACC
  • Right-click on Creative Cloud.exe > Properties > Compatibility > Change Settings for all users > Check 'Run this program as an administrator'
  • Click on OK & Apply to save the changes.
  • Restart the computer.

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks.

Ranjisha

Saludos,
