I don't get access to change text color, after I have selected the layer and the text I want to change the color for is active! The text color box in the top menu/timeline is 'ONLY GREY' and is not changeable!
How can something this simple not Work!

Are you sure your layer is a Text layer and not rasterized?
Can you provide a screenshot?
