Photoshop 24 update bugs?

Anyone else struggling with the new update, I am on a Mac, running IOS Monterey 12.6.  Upgraded to Photoshop 24 CC and now Photoshop is just really buggy.  

- hit the J key and it doens't select the correct tool

-create a new layer and change to "color" and try to paint color in and it acts like regualar brush tool. 

A few other things too.  Super frutrating as I am stuck on a project I wanted to finish and because I can't paint correctly, I have to stop.

I am also finding when using the brush tool, I can't click the option key to select a color on the brush.   Super frustrated right now.
