Jun 14, 2025 Jun 14, 2025

After last update, 26.7, i am frequently losing my job for photoshop freezing. It happens when I am in Photoshop, work a lot in the same image then go to Bridge (updated 15.1.0.635). Try to return to Photoshop but it is already frozen. Anyone have this problem?

The first step should be to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:

https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#reset-preferences

It's recommended to backup your settings before resetting the preferences.

See here:  https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html#backup-photoshop-preferences

In the next step ypu should check if your system is up-to-date. Do you have installed all recent updates and patches for the operating system and the device drivers, especially the graphic driver? If you have a NVidia graphic card installed, make sure that you are using the recent Studio version of the driver, not the Game Ready version.

Is this already doesn't help we need more informations about your environment. Please provide a copy of your 'System Info'. This can be get from the Photoshop menu item Help > System Info. There's a copy button in the System Info dialog. Press this button and paste the info into your next forum post.
